Benefits of Dryer Vent Cleaning
Save time
Are your clothes taking a long time to dry? A blocked vent and lint screen will reduce airflow and prevent clothes from drying. A clean dryer vent makes sure your dryer is working at optimum efficiency so you won’t have to run the cycle twice.
Save energy
With better performance comes reduced utility fees – save money on your energy bill.
Save money
Clogged vents cause dryers to overheat. By cleaning your vent, you’ll make your dryer last longer without having to spend on a replacement heating element or new dryer!
Save lives
Fire departments and insurance companies expect dryer vents to be checked and serviced regularly. Get peace of mind by cleaning your dryer vent annually to eliminate a fire hazard.

Fire Dangers of Dryer Vents
Has your dryer become a fire hazard?
Lint build-up overworks your dryer. When a dryer overheats, all it takes is one spark to ignite the hidden lint. Before the first spark, trust Lint Bandits to service your vent.
Watch for the warning signs of dangerous lint build-up:
- Clothes aren’t drying as fast or come out damp
- Clothes are hotter than usual after drying
- The dryer is hot to the touch
- The dryer vent on the exterior of your building has low flow
- Your laundry room feels humid or has a burning smell
Every year, 2,900 house fires are reported, causing an estimated 5 deaths, 100 injuries, and $35 million in property loss. The leading cause of home clothes dryer fire is failure to clean the vent. The longer the vent, the greater the risk. Don’t put it off. Clean your dryer vent today.

Asking the Experts
Frequently Asked Question
How do I know if my dryer vent needs cleaning?
If your dryer starts taking more than 45-60 mins to dry your clothes, you need to clean the vent line. If you can locate the dryer vent exhaust outside the house and don’t feel any airflow, or very little airflow, then it is clogged and should be cleaned.
What can clog the vent line?
The most common cause is lint accumulation. We also see condensation form in the vent line, which will cause a blockage. Occasionally, we find birds’ nests, hornet/bees’ nests, dead rodents, etc.
How does lint get into my vent line if I always clean the lint trap after doing my laundry?
Lint traps do not catch everything, only the bigger lint particles. Finer lint particles get around and through the frame of the lint catcher and end up in the venting.
Can I clean the dryer vent myself?
For short vent lines, pull the dryer out and make sure that the connecting hose is clean from wall to dryer. For vent lines that extend out longer than 5 ft and have elbows in line with the ducting, we recommend trusting Lint Bandits and our specialized tools and 3-step cleaning process.
I will be buying a new dryer. Should I still clean my vents?
That’s one of the best times to have your dryer vents cleaned by Lint Bandits. You’ll want to ensure a clean and efficient system for your new machine. If your vent line is clogged, your new dryer won’t work the way it’s intended to. Some newer dryers will shut off if they sense improper airflow to avoid overheating.
